[WORK IN PROGRESS] This is a guide on how to populate our MuonPi-PCB, using the construction kit. You can get a kit yourself by contacting us.
The Kit
The Kit contains all the parts you need to setup your RaspberryPi as a cosmic ray detector in the comfort of your home.
Contents of the Kit are:
- The plastic scintillator (generously provided by Eljen Technology)
- The bare printed circuit board (Muonpi board)
- GNSS antenna
- All components to mount on the PCB
- Bill of materials
Tools
The tools you need to populate the PCB with the SMD components include:
- a soldering iron
- solder
- (metal) tweezers
- flux
- solder wick
- solder fume extractor
- scalpel/scissors
